Introduction to Watercolors (W1) Thursdays 10:30am-12:30pm, 6 sessions Starts January 8th: 1/8, 1/22, 1/29, 2/5, 2/12, 2/19 In this multi-week class, you’ll dive into the fluid world of watercolor painting in a fun and relaxed environment. Whether you’re picking up a brush for the first time or looking to refine your technique, we’ll guide you through essential skills like washes, layering, color mixing, brush control, and texture effects. Through a mix of structured exercises and open-ended projects, you’ll experiment with different papers, palettes, and tools—all while developing your own style and voice. Each session encourages curiosity and creativity, and there's plenty of room to explore subject matter that resonates with you, from landscapes to botanicals to abstract forms. Supplies are partially provided, and you’ll also receive a recommended materials list so you can build your own watercolor toolkit. Come ready to play, learn, and leave each week with a fresh, vibrant piece of art—and a growing confidence in this magical medium.
